Interview Notes: He’s commuted to King of Prussia, PA before and he knows what it’s like. He wouldn’t be against relocating. Currently a Sys Engineer on the Build Team for the Business Intelligence Consumer Banking business unit. He has worked on an infrastructure upgrade, that was the last project he worked on, planning and implementing new servers, configuring security and access for those, configuring and installing applications, configuring load balancers, web configuration (Apache Site Monitor). Also works on migrations, did an LDAT migration that he led and did himself, converting an old Series 7 LDAT to a new directory in-house, planned and mapped it out, performed the migration and did the conversions. He also has some automation with Shell Scripting, some Java, using COGNOS SDK. He automated 2 different processes using those tools. He built a front-end web app using HTML. He recently built a module for the COGNOS application that’s like a view, used HTML and JSON to create a custom-view build.
- Scripting with Shell on Linux or AIX. Can also script with Bash but is much more comfortable with Shell.
- More comfortable with Linux, doesn’t typically work with Windows. He’s more comfortable with Linux but has no problem being in a mixed environment.
- No Chef or Puppet, etc.
- Not a developer but comfortable reading/understanding SQL, Java, and some C# many years ago, HTML/CSS
