Director Of User Experience who lead a team of 12 designing apps for TV and mobile devices, websites, brand books, marketing collateral, videos and corporate messaging. Led initial redesign of all 7 web properties as part of a transition to new CMS and then drove the second redesign to ensure sites were fully responsive, increasing usage and time spent on site. 20+ awards include Emmy and two Addy awards along with Interactive Emmy nomination.

Skills: Digital / Software Design, UX/UI Design, Creative Innovation, Mobile (iPhone/iPad/Android), Website Design, Print/Web Marketing, Identity Designs/Branding, Content Management Systems, Team Leadership

Compensation Requirements: Currently makes $110K + $10,000 bonus + great health insurance. Looking for $120K + 3 weeks PTO + work-life balance to change jobs.

Location Requirements: Lives in Yardley, okay with 1 hr commute, could be a little longer with work-from-home. Might be moving closer to Exton since his wife’s job and kids’ school is in that direction.

Interview Notes: Creative Director now. Used to be Creative/UX Director and Product Manager previously, but that company was acquired in 2017 and has downsized his staff to two people. He now oversees mobile and app development. Working remotely. Doesn’t want to stay with his current employer because it’s run by a finance company and they don’t value UX. Familiar with Agile and likes it, but hasn’t had to use it professionally yet. Oversaw design staff (2 people), developed OTT products, mobile apps, video-centric app products for clients outside of media industry. Managed team (used LI to find them), hired, ran one-on-ones, led design critiques, did weekly meetings and planning meetings; if there was a big job, he’d hire freelancers. Passion is R&D and innovation, getting products from concept to launch, and project management role. Likes both corporate and startups, but prefers smaller teams because there’s less red tape. Likes a team size of 6–8. Looking for a company that values innovation and UX. No counteroffers could keep him.

Education: BFA, Graphic Design
