Recruiter Notes: Currently working full-time, directing a 7-person team…manage business requirements as product owner…oversee integration and development management for a new platform release…drastically reduced testing by transitioning the team from 100% manual testing to nearly 90% automated testing in 12-months…experience managing on/offshore teams…Started on dev side…worked on what is now the legacy system…. He became the requirements person for their new system because he knew so much about the old system…Then he morphed into the automation testing guy for the new system, then to a Lead of the team….Now is Lead of both Test Automaton and Implementation teams…. Is a little bit hands-on and mostly hands-off and that is why he is looking for something new…wants to be hands-on again, does not enjoy the people management side of things all that much…Is also client facing and feels kind of “sales-y” sometimes, doesn’t enjoy that part of the work either…Has been leading the automation team for about 5 years but it’s only recently when he also took over the Implementation team (about 5 months) that he’s become even more hands-off….prefers a smaller company, wants more of a flat structure than a hierarchal one…doesn’t like red tape and bureaucracy…wants to get back into test automation work again…API testing with IBM Rational Integration Tester which no one uses but is similar to SoapUI…Lots of ad hoc testing with Postman…Has written his own utilities in Python, for anything that the tools cannot accomplish and/or needs customization…A tiny bit of work with Java, not much, doing more with Python…Selenium for testing UI…Most of it is back end testing…Version control with Git and SVN…For CI work they use Jenkins…Comfortable with databases, mostly relational, comfortable with SQL queries, runs a ton of those…Doesn’t like work-from-home, finds it distracting…Looking for $120k to $130k…2 weeks notice to start a new job.
