Recruiter Notes: 2.5 years at startup in Center City…. not seeing a lot of growth in current role… has always been into technology and it’s a good fit… would like to grow on the development side, but was surprised by how much he has enjoyed support… he has a real “top-down” view of the product from start to finish….

Currently handling Tier 2, manages all support, takes it as far as he can, he’ll even push code that solves bugs, and hands it over to the dev team only when he can’t…. CSS/HTML/JavaScript hands-on, can read, write and code a bit… since it’s a startup he’s really hands-on with everything, he helps with on-boarding…and he’s the main point of contact since Day 1 with them… on-boarding of instructors… he’s the only Support guy there… it’s a VERY SMALL company, very lean…. SQL, yes, hands-on with that, bulk of day is in SQL, very comfortable working with queries… they use a screen-tracking debugging software, that’s a new addition to their tools… using Chrome Developer Tools primarily…. also does ScreenShare and most fixes come through talking with the end users about their user experience and understanding what is happening…. often the issue is on the user side…. Linux command line, minimal…. but is comfortable with Terminal using Bash commands, and more comfortable on Mac and Windows…

Works with customers/end uses through video chat, does a lot with Zoom…. does a lot via email and phone too, but actually SEEING what the user is seeing is super helpful… ZenDesk, manages that inbox….
