Compensation: Up to $70K Base + $15K Bonus

Job Description

The Systems Engineer II will be responsible for the administration of a colo data center (located in Valley Forge, occasional onsite hands there would be needed) to be accountable for both the infrastructure within the datacenter and the ultimate function of the data center (cloud backup storage).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • The eventual development of the data center for disaster recovery/hosting services
  • Assist Level III Engineers on high-level, customer-facing IT projects including but not limited to server/data migrations, networking deployments, email migrations, etc
  • Assist Level III Engineers in the development of internal technology resources and initiatives that further MSP product offering, including but not limited to: remote monitoring and management policies and automation rules, global patch management policies, network monitoring, cybersecurity offerings, etc


Successful Systems Engineer II applicants will have experience with server, networking, storage, virtualization, infrastructure skills (preferably on a local basis as opposed to a public cloud expertise which we really don’t do a lot of).

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with backup & disaster recovery solutions (Veeam highly preferred but only a willingness to learn required if the other tech skills are there)
  • Microsoft 365 & Azure skillset preferred but not required
  • Experience with an RMM (ConnectWise) preferred
  • Willing to work in customer service, revenue-generating position within a managed service provider where technical services are the product being sold
  • LAN/WAN, Windows Server, Microsoft 365/Exchange experience
  • Well-rounded IT support/admin/engineering experience (networking, windows server, helpdesk, etc.)
  • Ability to assist with higher level projects but simultaneous willingness to handle service execution at all levels
  • Comfortable with service provider, revenue generating role (Technical service = customer service in this role)
  • Comfortable & willing to travel onsite to clients (most clients are within 30 minutes from the office)
